Bridgewaters Expands Space
Oct 30, 2006 - Manhattan, New York
Bridgewaters, Manhattan's premier event venue located at The South Street Seaport, has added one thousand square feet to its already expansive space, making it 27 thousand square feet and accommodating up to 2,500 guests. The new space includes additional skylights and even better views of the Brooklyn Bridge and New York Harbor.

Bridgewaters redefines the traditional catering facility with critically-acclaimed cuisine and an intimate space with private entrances, attended elevators and multiple rooms for seated dinners. The wrap-around terrace, cherry wood floors, and floor-to-ceiling windows were created by architectural visionary David Rockwell and give Bridgewaters a unique elegance.

Since its opening in 1987, the event space atop the Fulton Market Building at the Seaport hosts an average of over 400 events per year including benefits, weddings, film premieres, corporate meetings and trade shows all of which Executive Chef Christopher Siversen oversees. Chef Siversen's inventive and sophisticated menu breaks the mold of "banquet food." His creed is whether we are cooking for 30 or 3,000, concentrate on quality not quantity.

Bridgewaters was created by renowned restaurateurs Peter, Penny and Mathew Glazier of The Glazier Group. Their expertise in professional event management creates flawless special events, exceeding the highest expectations of cuisine and service that keeps Bridgewaters a classic New York favorite.
