Dr. Jacobs |
Dr. Jacobs, founder of Plastic Surgeon NY, interviewed by NY Times in a story "A Surgeon who caters to men's concerns.
Located on Park Avenue in New York City is the office of Dr. Elliot Jacobs, who has practiced the art of "subtle surgery" since 1977. Dr. Jacobs' full range of aesthetic plastic surgery procedures include the mid-facelift, gynecomastia (male breast reduction), breast augmentation and reduction, nasal surgery, liposuction, body contouring, eyelid surgery and other aesthetic procedures.
Dr. Jacobs eschews the "assembly line" mentality of modern medicine. Instead, he takes time with each patient, explaining procedures, discussing outcomes, and following up personally in the hours and days after surgery. "The emphasis on a naturally youthful appearance is central to the anticipated outcome," he says. "Plastic surgery is not about performing a radical transformation, but is about continuing to look good your entire life".
Dr. Jacobs is listed in the Castle Connolly Guide to the Best Doctors In the New York Metro Area and New York Magazine's 2002 "Best Doctors".
Dr. Jacobs is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Mensa.
